(EN)An apparatus and method for determining the location of an rf source (20) are described. An rf signal from the rf source (20) is received at a plurality of receivers (10), the receivers (10) being located apart from one another such as in a mobile ad-hoc network. Each receiver (10) determines characteristic information of the received signal, while also determining its position. The characteristic information and position information of each receiver (10) are sent to a controller (30). The controller (30) operates to determine the location of the rf source (20) based on the supplied characteristic information and position information.
(FR)L’invention concerne un appareil et un procédé pour déterminer l’emplacement d’une source RF (20). Un signal RF provenant de la source RF (20) est reçu par une pluralité de récepteurs (10), les récepteurs (10) étant espacés les uns des autres comme dans un réseau mobile existant. Chaque récepteur (10) détermine les informations caractéristiques du signal reçu tout en déterminant aussi sa position. Les informations caractéristiques et les informations de position de chaque récepteur (10) sont envoyées à un contrôleur (30).
