(EN)Method and arrangement in a first node for determining the round trip time of a signal. The signal is sent between the first node and a second node. The second node is associated with a location point. The first node and the second node are comprised within a wireless communication system. A first signal is sent to the second node. A second signal is thereafter received by the first node from the second node, where the second signal is sent from the second node as a response to the previously sent first signal. When the second signal is received from the second node, the round trip time of the signal is computed in the first node.The computed round trip time is then sent to the second node. A corresponding method and arrangement in a second node for obtaining the round trip time of a signal is also provided.
(FR)L'invention porte sur un procédé et un agencement dans un premier nœud pour déterminer le temps de propagation aller-retour d'un signal. Le signal est envoyé entre le premier nœud et un second nœud. Le second nœud est associé à un point de localisation. Le premier nœud et le second nœud sont inclus dans un système de communication sans fil. Un premier signal est envoyé au second nœud. Un second signal est ensuite reçu par le premier nœud en provenance du second nœud, le second signal étant envoyé par le second nœud en réponse au premier signal envoyé précédemment. Lorsque le second signal est reçu en provenance du second nœud, le temps de propagation aller-retour du signal est calculé dans le premier nœud. Le temps de propagation aller-retour calculé est ensuite envoyé au second nœud.
