Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a semiconductor detector block having a simple detector structure and spatial resolution of 1 mm or less, and provide a positron emission tomography device provided with the same. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A semiconductor detector block has the superposition of a plurality of semiconductor detectors comprising a semiconductor plate having an electrically conductive resistive electrode formed on the surface and a conductive electrode formed on the back face to two-dimensionally detect the detection position of gamma rays in the semiconductor plate by using the ratio of electric signals from four corners (ABCD) of the electrically conductive resistive electrode, and three-dimensionally finds the detection position of the gamma rays. The positron emission tomography device is provided with two or more of the same.
