(EN)The present invention relates to a light-emitting device that includes a clad layer by repeated lamination of a unit, which has an asymmetrical energy bandgap on upper and lower sides of an active layer. Therefore, the light-emitting device that uses the clad layer consisting of asymmetric units is able to freely control the injection of both electrons and holes into the active layer to improve the internal quantum efficiency. The light-emitting device according to the present invention is characterized by including the clad layer on at least one of the upper and lower sides of the active layer, wherein the clad layer consists of one or plural units, wherein the units have a structure that the first, the second, and the nth unit layers (n is a natural number which is 3 or larger) having different energy bandgaps are sequentially laminated, and have an asymmetric energy band diagram.
(FR)L'invention concerne un dispositif électroluminescent comprenant une couche de revêtement constituée par la stratification répétée d'une unité, ladite couche présentant une bande d'énergie interdite asymétrique située sur les côtés supérieur et inférieur d'une couche active. Par conséquent, le dispositif électroluminescent comprenant une couche de revêtement constituée d'unités asymétriques permet de commander librement l'injection à la fois d'électrons et de trous dans la couche active pour améliorer l'efficacité quantique interne. Le dispositif électroluminescent selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce que la couche de revêtement qu'il comprend est située sur le côté supérieur et/ou inférieur de la couche active, la couche de revêtement étant constituée d'une ou de plusieurs unités qui présentent une structure telle que la première, la seconde et la nième couche (n désignant un entier naturel supérieur ou égal à 3) qui présentent des bandes d'énergie interdites différentes sont séquentiellement stratifiées et présentent un diagramme de bandes d'énergie asymétrique.
