Title: TIGHT CONTACT STATE DETECTOR OF TOOL IN MACHINE TOOL
Abstract:
Provided is a tight contact state detector of a tool in a machine tool in which the fact whether a tool or a tool holder holding a tool is attached to a main spindle in tight contact with each other can be detected stably with high precision. When rotation of a main spindle (13) is stopping, hydraulic pressure is supplied from a hydraulic pressure supply unit (28) to a cylinder section (20) in order to bring a piston member (21) into contact with a spindle head (11) and the main spindle (13) while resisting against the urging force of an O-ring (22), and then air is supplied from the side of the spindle head (11) to air injection holes (27a, 27b, 27c) formed in the forward end face (13a) of the main spindle (13) through the piston member (21), and a judgment is made whether the end face (41) of a tool (2) and the forward end face (13a) of the main spindle (13) are in tight contact with each other or not by detecting pressure variation of air injected from the air injection holes (27a, 27b, 27c) by means of air pressure sensors (25a, 25b, 25c).
