Abstract:
(EN) A system and method for quickly detaching an implant and for locating the detachment zone of a detachable implant. A sensor determines a sudden change in the local environment as the sensor passes from within a microcatheter to being exposed to the vasculature. The sensor may be a temperature sensor, ultrasonic sensor, pressure sensor or the like. If the detachable implant assembly uses a heater coil to detach the implant, the heater coil may be used as a sensor. Additionally, the implant itself may be used as a sensor if a change in electrical resistance is detectable as the implant exits the microcatheter and changes shape.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de retirer rapidement un implant et de localiser la zone de retrait d'un implant amovible. Un capteur détermine un changement soudain dans l'environnement local lorsque le capteur passe de l'intérieur d'un microcathéter devant être exposé à la vasculature. Ledit capteur peut être un capteur de température, un capteur ultrasonore, un capteur de pression ou analogue. Si l'ensemble implant amovible utilise un enroulement chauffant pour retirer l'implant, ledit enroulement chauffant peut être utilisé comme capteur. En outre, l'implant lui-même peut être utilisé en tant que capteur si un changement de résistance électrique est détectable lorsque l'implant sort du microcathéter et change de forme.
