(EN)Provided are methods and compositions for reducing the protein content and/or undesirable odor of latex articles. The methods reduce the odor and/or protein content of latex articles by introducing compositions comprising a surfactant component and a potentiator into one or more stages of the manufacture of an article made of latex, or alternatively during the post laundering or washing treatment of the article. The potentiator comprises a chlorinating agent, a non-chlorinating salt, or a combination thereof. The methods and compositions are particularly applicable to natural rubber latex articles, especially those made through a dipping process.
(FR)Les procédés et les compositions de l'invention permettent de réduire la teneur en protéines et/ou l'odeur indésirable des articles en latex. Lesdits procédés réduisent l'odeur et/ou la teneur en protéines des articles en latex en introduisant des compositions comprenant un composant tensioactif et un potentiateur à un ou plusieurs stades de la fabrication d'un article en latex, ou en variante, pendant le post-traitement de nettoyage ou de lavage de l'article. Le potentiateur comprend un agent de chloration, un sel de type non-chloration, ou une combinaison des deux. Lesdits procédés et compositions sont, en particulier, applicables aux articles en latex de caoutchouc naturel, notamment ceux fabriqués par un procédé d'imprégnation.
