Abstract

There is provided an antenna element for use in an ultra wideband network, the antenna element comprising a radiating element, for radiating signals over a range of frequencies in response to a signal received at a feed point; and a frequency shaping device located near the feed point of the radiating element for acting as a broad- banding device for the radiating element. A plurality of antenna elements may be formed into an antenna array.

L'invention concerne un élément d'antenne destiné à être utilisé dans un réseau à bande ultralarge, l'élément d'antenne comprenant un élément rayonnant, destiné à rayonner des signaux sur une plage de fréquences en réponse à un signal reçu sur un point d'alimentation ; et un dispositif de mise en forme de la fréquence situé à proximité du point d'alimentation de l'élément rayonnant de manière à agir en tant que dispositif d'élargissement de bande de l'élément rayonnant. Une pluralité d'éléments d'antenne peut être configurée en un réseau d'antennes.
