When an automatic transmission is in a manual mode, a transmission ECU calculates a speed sftrng manually requested by the driver and a speed sftrngmap set by a shift map and then performs a shift prohibition procedure. In this procedure, if the engine coolant temperature is equal to or lower than a predetermined coolant temperature or the AT fluid temperature is equal to or lower than a predetermined fluid temperature, a prohibition, determination flag xthlow is set to 'on', and if the engine coolant temperature is higher than the predetermined coolant temperature and the AT fluid temperature is higher than the predetermined fluid temperature, the prohibition determination flag xthlow is set to 'off'. When the prohibitions determination flag xthlow is 'on', the speed sftrngmap is set as the upper limit of the speed sftrng.

Lorsqu'une transmission automatique est en mode manuel, une unité de commande électronique de transmission calcule une valeur 'sftrng' de vitesse, représentant une vitesse sélectionnée sur la base de signaux provenant d'un capteur de position de levier de changement de vitesse, manuellement requis par le conducteur et une valeur 'sftrngmap' de vitesse, représentant la vitesse sélectionnée sur la base de l'état de conduite du véhicule, défini par une carte de changement, puis effectue une procédure d'interdiction de changement. Dans cette procédure, si la température de liquide de refroidissement de moteur est inférieure ou égale à une température de liquide de refroidissement prédéterminée ou si la température de fluide AT est inférieure ou égale à une température de fluide prédéterminée, un drapeau de détermination d'interdiction 'xthlow' est établi à « marche », et si la température de liquide de refroidissement de moteur est supérieure à la température de liquide de refroidissement prédéterminée et que la température de fluide AT est supérieure à la température de fluide prédéterminée, le drapeau de détermination d'interdiction 'xthlow' est établi à « arrêt ». Lorsque le drapeau de détermination d'interdiction 'xthlow' est « en marche », le 'sftrngmap' de vitesse est défini comme étant la limite supérieure de la valeur 'sftrng' de vitesse.
