Abstract
(EN)
The invention provides methods of increasing resistance to disease in a plant. Also provided are plant steroid biosynthesis enzyme coding sequences, including sequences for squalene synthase, constructs comprising these sequences, plants transformed therewith and methods of use thereof. Methods for producing a plant with increased disease resistance are also provided. In certain aspects of the invention, methods for producing plants transformed with the nucleic acids are provided, the transformed plants exhibiting improved disease resistance.

L'invention concerne des procédés permettant d'augmenter la résistance d'une plante aux maladies. L'invention concerne également des séquences de codage d'enzyme de biosynthèse de stéroïdes de plante, y compris des séquences pour la squalène synthase, les constructions comprenant ces séquences, les plantes transformées avec celles-ci et des procédés d'utilisation de celles-ci. L'invention concerne également des procédés de production d'une plante ayant une meilleure résistance aux maladies. Dans certains aspects de l'invention, on propose des procédés pour produire des plantes transformées avec les acides nucléiques, les plantes transformées affichant une meilleure résistance aux maladies.
