Abstract

The present invention relates to the field of isoelectric focussing or 2D electrophoresis, in particular isoelectric point markers with fluorescence detection. The marker comprises an oligopeptide covalently labelled with a fluorescent dye and is characterised in that said dye has a net charge that will maintain the overall net charge of the oligopeptide upon being bound to said oligopeptide. The invention also relates to an electrophoretic method for analysis of proteins using these markers.

La présente invention porte sur le domaine de la focalisation isoélectrique ou de l'électrophorèse en 2D, en particulier sur des marqueurs de point isoélectrique avec détection de fluorescence. Le marqueur comprend un oligopeptide lié de manière covalente à un colorant fluorescent et est caractérisé en ce que le colorant a une charge nette qui, après sa liaison à l'oligopeptide, conserve la charge nette globale de l'oligopeptide. L'invention porte également sur un procédé électrophorétique d'analyse de protéines utilisant ces marqueurs.
