An optical information recording medium (200) has a structure wherein a light transmitting layer (10), a first information recording layer (20), an intermediate layer (30), a second information recording layer (40) and a substrate (50) are laminated in this order from an incoming side of a reproducing beam. The first information recording layer (20) is an ROM layer or an R layer, and the second information recording layer (40) is an RE layer. The first information recording layer (20) has a light transmitting characteristic, and the first information recording layer (20) has a reflectance higher than 0.4% but not more than 2.2% at a reproducing light wavelength. In the second information recording region of the of the RE layer, a non-overlapping region not overlapping the first information recording region of the first information recording layer (20) exists. Thus, information in the medium can be reproduced even by a driving apparatus applicable to old standard optical information recording media having a small umber of information recording layers, and the recording capacity can be improved by adding the ROM layer or the R layer to the old standard optical information recording media. Furthermore, probability of generating reproduction failure due to having the driving device applicable to old standards recognize the added ROM layer or the R layer is reduced.

L'invention concerne un support d'enregistrement d'informations optique (200) qui présente une structure dans laquelle une couche transmettant la lumière (10), une première couche d'enregistrement d'informations (20), une couche intermédiaire (30), une seconde couche d'enregistrement d'informations (40) et un substrat (50) sont stratifiés dans cet ordre à partir d'un côté d'arrivée d'un faisceau de reproduction. La première couche d'enregistrement d'informations (20) est une couche ROM ou une couche R, et la seconde couche d'enregistrement d'informations (40) est une couche RE.
