Abstract

A display system, a display control device, and so on capable of realizing overlay display with no image degradation even in overlay processing on the display side. A display system can display a first image on a screen and overlay-display a second image on a predetermined region of the first image. The display system comprises an output device including an image information compressing means for compressing second image information constituting the second image and an information outputting means for outputting the compressed second image information and uncompressed or lossless compressed overlay information indicating whether or not to overlay-display the second image onto a transmission path, and a display control device including a second image information inputting means for inputting the compressed second image information and the uncompressed or lossless compressed overlay information from the transmission path, an image information expanding means for expanding the inputted second image information, a first image information inputting means for inputting first image information constituting the first image, and a display controlling means for selecting either the inputted first image information or the expanded second image information according to the inputted overlay information and performing such control that the image corresponding to the selected image information is displayed on the screen.

L'invention porte sur un système d'affichage, un dispositif de commande d'affichage, etc., apte à réaliser un affichage de superposition sans dégradation d'image, même dans un traitement de superposition sur le côté d'affichage. Un système d'affichage peut afficher une première image sur un écran et afficher par superposition une deuxième image sur une région prédéterminée de la première image. Le système d'affichage comprend un dispositif de sortie comprenant des moyens de compression d'informations d'image pour compresser des informations de deuxième image constituant la deuxième image et des moyens d'émission d'informations pour émettre les informations de deuxième image compressées et des informations de superposition non compressées ou compressées sans perte, indiquant s'il faut ou non afficher par superposition la deuxième image sur un trajet de transmission, et un dispositif de commande d'affichage comprenant des moyens d'entrée d'informations de deuxième image pour entrer les informations de deuxième image compressées et les informations de superposition non compressées ou compressées sans perte provenant du trajet de transmission, des moyens d'expansion d'informations d'image pour étendre les informations de deuxième image entrées, des moyens d'entrée d'informations de première image pour entrer des informations de première image constituant la première image, et des moyens de commande d'affichage pour sélectionner l'une ou l'autre parmi les informations de première image entrées ou les informations de deuxième image étendues en fonction des informations de superposition entrées et réaliser une commande telle que l'image correspondant aux informations d'image sélectionnées soit affichée sur l'écran.

 ディスプレイ側でオーバーレイ処理する場合であっても、画質劣化の無いオーバーレイ表示を実現することが可能な表示システム、及び表示制御装置等を提供する。  本願は、第一の画像を画面上に表示させると共に当該第一の画像における所定領域に第二の画像をオーバーレイ表示させることが可能な表示システムであって、前記第二の画像を構成する第二画像情報を圧縮する画像情報圧縮手段と、前記圧縮された第二画像情報と、前記第二の画像をオーバーレイ表示させるか否かを示すオーバーレイ情報であって非圧縮又は可逆圧縮のオーバーレイ情報と、を伝送路上に出力する情報出力手段と、を有する出力装置と、前記伝送路からの、前記圧縮された第二画像情報と前記非圧縮又は可逆圧縮のオーバーレイ情報と、を入力する第二画像情報入力手段と、前記入力された第二画像情報を伸張する画像情報伸張手段と、前記第一の画像を構成する第一画像情報を入力する第一画像情報入力手段と、前記入力されたオーバーレイ情報に基づいて、前記入力された第一画像情報と、前記伸張された第二画像情報と、の何れか一方を選択し、当該選択した前記画像情報に係る画像を画面上に表示させる制御を行う表示制御手段と、を有する表示制御装置と、を備える。
