The present invention relates to thermoset resin fibre components (10, 30, 40, 44, 50, 210, 310, 410), composite materials (12, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 43, 48, 54, 58, 62) comprising thermoset resin fibre components, composite articles manufactured using such composite materials and methodologies for manufacturing same. The thermoset resin fibre components may comprise a single fibre of thermoset resin or a plurality of fibres commingled together. The properties and characteristics of the thermoset resin used are chosen according to the materials to be produced therefrom. The thermoset fibre components may be woven into reinforcement fibres (14, 31, 38, 114, 214, 314, 60, 414) to form prepregs. Thermoplastic fibres (32, 46, 52) may be commingled and co-woven with the thermoset fibre components.

La présente invention porte sur des composants de fibre de résine thermodurcie (10, 30, 40, 44, 50, 210, 310, 410), sur des matériaux composites (12, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 43, 48, 54, 58, 62) comprenant des composants de fibre de résine thermodurcie, sur des articles composites fabriqués à l'aide de tels matériaux composites, et sur des méthodologies de fabrication de ceux-ci. Les composants de fibre de résine thermodurcie peuvent comprendre une simple fibre de résine thermodurcie ou une pluralité de fibres amalgamées ensemble. Les propriétés et caractéristiques de la résine thermodurcie utilisée sont choisies conformément aux matériaux devant être obtenus à partir de celle-ci. Les composants de fibre thermodurcie peuvent être tissés en fibres de renforcement (14, 31, 38, 114, 214, 314, 60, 414) afin de former des pré-imprégnés. Des fibres thermoplastiques (32, 46, 52) peuvent être amalgamées et co-tissées avec les composants de fibre thermodurcie.
