Compositions are disclosed that comprise a lubricant, at least a first antioxidant and an optional second antioxidant, the first antioxidant being a styrenated phenolic antioxidant and the optional second antioxidant a secondary diarylamine for synergistic antioxidant action. Also disclosed is a method of increasing the oxidation stability of lubricating oils comprising: adding thereto at least a first antioxidant and, optionally, a second antioxidant, the first antioxidant being a styrenated phenolic antioxidant and the optional second antioxidant a secondary diarylamine.

L'invention concerne des compositions qui comprennent un lubrifiant, au moins un premier antioxydant et un second antioxydant facultatif, le premier antioxydant étant un antioxydant phénolique styréné et le second antioxydant facultatif une diarylamine secondaire pour une action antioxydante synergique. Il est également proposé un procédé d'augmentation de la stabilité à l'oxydation des huiles lubrifiantes comprenant : l'ajout à celles-ci d'au moins un premier antioxydant et, facultativement, un second antioxydant, le premier antioxydant étant un antioxydant phénolique styréné et le second antioxydant facultatif une diarylamine secondaire.
