A stop-start control apparatus for a port injection engine (1) stops the engine by stopping fuel injection from each injector (13), when a predetermined stop condition is fulfilled (S11, S12). An estimated position of a piston (5) in each cylinder (2) after the engine is stopped is determined (S14) during a stop process period from when the predetermined stop condition is fulfilled until when the engine is stopped, and a compression stroke cylinder in which the piston is to be stopped in a compression stroke is identified (S15). An amount of fuel to be injected from the injector for the compression stroke cylinder during the stop process period is set based on the estimated position of the piston in the compression stroke cylinder (S16). The injector injects the set fuel amount so that the fuel is contained in the compression stroke cylinder when the engine is stopped (S18).

L'invention concerne un appareil de commande d'arrêt-démarrage pour un moteur à injection dans un orifice (1) comprenant des cylindres (2) qui arrête le moteur (1) par coupure de l'injection de carburant provenant de chaque injecteur (13) lorsqu'une condition d'arrêt prédéterminée est satisfaite. Une position estimée de piston (5) dans chaque cylindre (2), une fois que le moteur (1) a été arrêté, est déterminée pendant une période de traitement d'arrêt à partir du moment où la condition d'arrêt prédéterminée est satisfaite jusqu'au moment où le moteur (1) est arrêté, et un cylindre à temps de compression est identifié. Une quantité de carburant à injecter à partir de l'injecteur (13) pour le cylindre à temps de compression pendant la période de traitement d'arrêt est définie en fonction de la position estimée du piston (5) dans le cylindre à temps de compression. L'injecteur (13) injecte le carburant selon une quantité de carburant définie, de sorte que le carburant est contenu dans le cylindre à temps de compression lorsque le moteur est arrêté.
