Abstract

Self-adjustable and deformable projection of variable height for reducing the speed of vehicles travelling on a roadway, comprising at least one strip of flexible material, rubber or other similar material, made up of several hollow fluid-filled chambers. The chambers are interconnected by a calibrated conduit which enables the controlled passage of the filling fluid from the chamber flattened by the vehicle wheel to the adjacent chambers, this device acting as a means for control of the resistance which the strip offers to the deformation thereof depending on the impact speed of the vehicle against the strip. The filling fluid can be water or a non-newtonian liquid, of those which increase their viscosity the greater the pressure applied thereto, in which case the fluid itself acts as a means of control of the resistance to deformation of the strip.

Resalte deformable de altura variable autoajustable para atenuación de la velocidad de los vehículos que circulan por una calzada, constituido por al menos una banda de material flexible, goma u otro material similar, que conforma varias cámaras huecas rellenas por un fluido. Las cámaras están comunicadas entre sí por un conducto calibrado que permite el paso controlado del fluido de relleno desde la cámara aplastada por la rueda del vehículo hacia las cámaras adyacentes, actuando este dispositivo como medio de control de la resistencia que ofrece la banda a su deformación en función de la velocidad de impacto del vehículo contra la banda. El fluido de relleno puede ser agua o un fluido no newtoniano, de los que aumentan su viscosidad cuanto mayor es el gradiente de presión que se le aplica, en cuyo caso el propio fluido actúa como medio de control de la resistencia de la banda a la deformación.

L'invention concerne une saillie déformable auto-réglable de hauteur variable servant à réduire la vitesse des véhicules roulant sur une chaussée et comprenant au moins une bande de matière souple, de gomme ou d'une autre matière similaire, formant plusieurs chambres creuses remplies d'un fluide. Les chambres communiquent entre elles par l'intermédiaire d'un conduit calibré permettant le passage régulé du fluide de remplissage depuis la chambre aplatie par la roue du véhicule jusqu'aux chambres adjacentes, le dispositif agissant comme moyen de régulation de la résistance de la bande à la déformation en fonction de la vitesse d'impact du véhicule contre la bande. Le fluide de remplissage peut être de l'eau ou un fluide non newtonien du type à augmentation de viscosité proportionnelle au gradient de pression auquel il est soumis. Dans ce cas, le fluide agit lui-même comme moyen de régulation de la résistance de la bande à la déformation.
