Abstract

The invention relates to an electrolysis installation for the decomposition of water to hydrogen and oxygen, comprising: - an electrolysis stack (5) - a water-recirculation system supplying water to said stack, the recirculation system comprising a circuit (11, 13) and a recirculating pump (15), a first and a second separator (7, 9) for separating hydrogen and oxygen respectively produced in the stack (5) from water, - hydraulic supply means that supply the recirculation circuit (11, 13) with deionized water to compensate for the water consumed by the production of gaseous hydrogen and oxygen, and - extinction means for inerting the first and the second separators (7, 9) during the shutdown of the installation, characterized by extinction means which comprise first and second depressurization valves (36, 23) respectively equipping the first and second separators (7, 9), these valves being provided for simultaneously depressurizing the two separators while keeping the level of water in the two separators substantially constant, and by extinction means that control said supply means for completely filling the two separators (7, 9) with water once the two separators have been depressurized.

L'invention concerne une installation d'électrolyse pour la décomposition de l'eau en hydrogène et en oxygène, comprenant : - un empilement d'électrolyse (5) - un système de recirculation d'eau fournissant de l'eau audit empilement, le système de recirculation comportant un circuit (11, 13) et une pompe de recirculation (15), un premier et un deuxième séparateurs (7, 9) pour séparer de l'eau respectivement l'hydrogène et l'oxygène produit dans l'empilement (5), - des moyens d'alimentation hydrauliques alimentant le circuit de recirculation (11, 13) en eau désionisée pour compenser l'eau consommée par la production d'hydrogène et d'oxygène gazeux, et - des moyens d'extinction pour inertiser le premier et le second séparateurs (7, 9) lors de l'arrêt de l'installation, caractérisée par des moyens d'extinction qui comprennent une première et une seconde vannes de dépressurisation (36, 23) équipant respectivement le premier et le second séparateurs (7, 9), ces vannes étant prévues pour dépressuriser simultanément les deux séparateurs tout en gardant sensiblement constant le niveau de l'eau dans les deux séparateurs, et par des moyens d'extinction commandant lesdits moyens d'alimentation pour remplir entièrement les deux séparateurs (7, 9) avec de l'eau une fois que les deux séparateurs ont été dépressurisés.
