L'invention concerne un palier hybride, comprenant une première coque de palier avec une surface de glissement et une deuxième coque de palier avec une deuxième surface de glissement, la première surface de glissement et la deuxième surface de glissement étant en regard l'une de l'autre au niveau d'une fente de palier. La première coque de palier présente un premier corps porteur et la deuxième coque de palier présente un deuxième corps porteur. Le palier hybride comprend aussi des éléments en matériau pour palier lisse qui sont fixés sur le premier corps porteur et sur le deuxième corps porteur, les éléments en matériau pour palier lisse formant au moins une partie de la première surface de glissement et de la deuxième surface de glissement; le palier hybride comprend en outre des aimants permanents qui sont connectés au premier corps porteur et au deuxième corps porteur, les aimants permanents étant espacés de la première surface de glissement et de la deuxième surface de glissement.
