Abstract
(EN)
A modulation method for data packets transmitted on a mobile communication channel, the method comprising a first linear modulation mode, to be used when the radio conditions are good, and a second constant envelop modulation mode, to be used when the radio conditions are poor. Since a constant envelope-modulated signal is degraded more when time dispersion occurs, the first linear modulation mode is also used when the time dispersion is severe.

L'invention concerne un procédé de modulation pour des paquets de données transmis sur un canal de communication mobile, le procédé comprenant un premier mode de modulation linéaire qui doit être utilisé lorsque les conditions radio sont bonnes, et un second mode de modulation à enveloppe constante qui doit être utilisé lorsque les conditions radio sont mauvaises. Puisqu'un signal modulé avec une enveloppe constante est davantage dégradé lorsque la dispersion temporelle se produit, le premier mode de modulation linéaire est également utilisé lorsque la dispersion temporelle est sévère.
