A digital broadcasting transmitter is provided. The transmitter includes a known data inserting unit which inserts a known data to a stream, and a trellis encoding unit which encodes the stream sequentially using a plurality of trellis encoders, wherein the known data inserting unit inserts the known data to the specific location of the stream, so that the known data may be trellis encoded by at least one specific trellis encoder.

Émetteur de diffusion numérique comprenant une unité d'insertion de données connues qui insère des données connues dans un flux, et une unité de codage en treillis qui code le flux séquentiellement au moyen d'un pluralité de codeurs en treillis, l'unité d'insertion de données connues insérant les données connues en un point spécifique du flux de sorte que lesdites données peuvent être codées en treillis par au moins un codeur en treillis spécifique.
