Abstract

A wind turbine comprising a base, a structure freely rotatable on the base and at least three blade assemblies. The blade assemblies each comprise a shaft, a blade secured to the shaft, which is freely rotatable horizontally on the structure. Each blade has at least one portion comprising a wind-engaging surface, a return means for returning the surface to a balance position in which the surface is at an angle of 45 degrees to the vertical, and an end stop to restrict swinging of the surface about its axis to 45 degrees either side of its balance position, wherein the axes are equally angled.

Une éolienne comprenant une base, une structure apte à être montée en rotation libre sur la base et au moins trois ensembles de pales. Les ensembles de pales comprenant chacun un axe, une pale solidaire de l'axe, l'axe étant apte à être monté de façon horizontale en rotation libre sur lui-même, sur la structure. Chaque pale ayant au moins une partie comportant une surface capable de recevoir du vent, un moyen de rappel apte à ramener la surface dans une position d'équilibre où la surface forme un angle de 45 degrés avec la verticale et une butée pour limiter le balancement de la surface autour de son axe, à 45 degrés de part et d'autre de sa position d'équilibre, les axes formant des angles égaux entre eux.
