Abstract
(EN) The present invention relates to a method of producing biofuel, more specifically a method of producing biofuel comprising the steps of generating monosugars from marine algae, or from polysaccharides extracted from marine algae by treating the marine algae or the polysaccharides with a hydrolytic enzyme and/or a hydrolytic catalyst; and fermenting the monosugars using a microorganism to produce biofuel. The method of producing biofuel of the present invention solve the problem of raw material suppliance since it uses marine algae as a raw material for biomass, and reduce the production costs by excluding lignin eliminating process that has been required by the conventional method using wood-based raw materials, resulting in economic and environmental advantages.
(FR) L'invention porte sur une méthode de production de biocarburant, et plus spécifiquement sur une méthode de production de biocarburant comprenant les étapes suivantes: production de monosucres d'algues marines ou de polysaccharides extraits d'algues marines; traitement des algues marines ou des polysaccharides par une enzyme hydrolytique et/ou un catalyseur hydrolytique; et fermentation des monosucres en utilisant un microorganisme pour produire le biocarburant. Ladite méthode résout le problème de la qualité des matière première puisqu'il utilise des algues marines comme matière première pour obtenir la biomasse et réduit ainsi les coûts de production puisqu'il supprime le processus d'élimination de la lignine exigé par la méthode conventionnelle utilisant des matières premières à base de bois, d'où des avantages économiques et environnementaux.
