(EN)A crosslinked poly(arylene ether) film is prepared by a method that includes forming a film from a composition that includes a poly(arylene ether) having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.25 deciliter per gram and a polydispersity index less than or equal to 10, and irradiating the poly(arylene ether) film with a dosage of about 50 to about 50,000 kiloGrays of accelerated electrons. The films exhibit good flexibility and solvent resistance. Films prepared by the method are described, as are articles that include such films.
(FR)Selon l'invention, un film de poly(arylène éther) réticulé est préparé au moyen d'un procédé consistant à former un film à partir d'une composition renfermant un poly(arylène éther) présentant une viscosité intrinsèque d'au moins 0,25 dl/g et un indice de polydispersité inférieur ou égal à 10, et à irradier le film de poly(arylène éther) avec une dose comprise entre environ 50 et environ 50.000 kilograys d'électrons accélérés. Ces films présentent d'excellentes propriétés de souplesse et de résistance aux solvants. L'invention concerne également les films préparés au moyen de ce procédé ainsi que des articles comprenant ces films.
