(EN)A gas scrubber is presented. The gas scrubber comprises a nozzle that atomizes a liquid to form droplets. The droplets are preferably expelled from the nozzle in substantially a hollow cone spray pattern with a velocity of at least 4000 feet per minute. A stream of gas containing particulates that requires scrubbing interacts with the droplets. After the interaction, the gas-droplet combination impinges on a target. Preferred targets include droplets from a second nozzle, a ducting surface, or a throated passage.
