Abstract:
(EN) Methods, systems, and architectures for multiplatform booting from a portable module with nonvolatile memory. Preferably the portable module carries the correct binaries for booting multiple system architectures, together with a table from which the host, at power-up, can calculate the correct offset to load the appropriate binary.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés, des systèmes et des architectures pour l'amorçage multi-plateforme à partir d'un module portable comportant une mémoire non volatile. Le module portable contient préférablement les contenus binaires appropriés pour amorcer plusieurs architectures de système, ainsi qu'une table au moyen de laquelle le système hôte peut calculer, lors de la mise sous tension, la valeur de décalage correcte pour charger les contenus binaires appropriés.
