Abstract

A handpiece (1) is described for making holes in bone tissue comprising a surgical tool (3; 103) provided with a tip or head (40; 140) able to make a hole in the bone. The handpiece works by ultrasound, the tip (40; 140) of the tool comprises a plurality of cutting elements (43) defining the profile of the hole to be made in the bone, and in the body of the tool there is provided a main channel (36) which ends in an outlet hole (44) opening in the tip of the tool (40; 140) for the passage of a cooling fluid, so as to cool the work area affected by the tool tip.

L'invention concerne un embout à main (1) destiné à réaliser des trous dans des tissus osseux, ledit embout comprenant un outil chirurgical (3 ; 103) muni d'une extrémité ou tête (40 ; 140) capable de réaliser un trou dans l'os. L'embout à main fonctionne par ultrasons ; l'extrémité (40 ; 140) de l'outil comprend une pluralité d'éléments de découpe (43) définissant le profil du trou à réaliser dans l'os, et le corps de l'outil est muni d'un canal principal (36) qui finit en un orifice de sortie (44) dans l'extrémité de l'outil (40 ; 140) pour le passage d'un fluide de refroidissement destiné à refroidir la zone de travail affectée par l'embout de l'outil.
