It is possible to provide a data processing technique capable of reducing the processing time for rate conversion dubbing associated with video/audio data. For example, in a data processing device of a recording/reproducing system having an AV decoder and an AV encoder, when a rate conversion dubbing of the video/audio data is started, firstly, decoding of the first data (DA) is started in the AV decoder. When the decoding of the data (DA) is completed, the AV decoder issues a control signal. Upon reception of the control signal, the AV encoder immediately starts encoding of the decoded data (DA) which has been decoded. Next, when encoding of decoded data (DA) is completed in the AV encoder, the AV encoder issues a control signal. Upon reception of the control signal, the AV encoder immediately starts decoding of the next data (DB). By performing the aforementioned control, it is possible to reduce the processing time for the rate conversion dubbing.

Il est possible de proposer une technique de traitement de données capable de réduire le temps de traitement pour une duplication avec conversion de débit associée à des données vidéo/audio. Par exemple, dans un dispositif de traitement de données d'un système d'enregistrement/de reproduction muni d'un décodeur AV et d'un encodeur AV, lorsqu'une duplication avec conversion de débit des données vidéo/audio est lancée, le décodage des premières données (DA) est lancé dans le décodeur AV en premier lieu. Une fois le décodage des données (DA) achevé, le décodeur AV émet un signal de commande. Lors de la réception du signal de commande, l'encodeur AV démarre immédiatement l'encodage des données (DA) qui ont été décodées. Ensuite, une fois l'encodage des données (DA) décodées achevé dans l'encodeur AV, l'encodeur AV émet un signal de commande.
