Die Erfindung betrifft einen Reformer (10) zum Umsetzen von Brennstoff und Oxidationsmittel zu Reformat, mit einer Oxidationszone (16), der Brennstoff und Oxidationsmittel zuführbar ist und in der der Brennstoff zumindest teilweise oxidierbar ist; einer Gemischbildungszone (36) in der dem in der Oxidationszone (16) erzeugten Gasgemisch zusätzlieher Brennstoff zuführbar ist; und einer Reformierungszone (18) zum Ausbilden eines Reformats, der das in der Gemischbildungszone (36) erzeugte Gasgemisch zuführbar ist, wobei ein Teil des in der Oxidationszone (16) erzeugten Gasgemisches stromaufwärts des Eintritts in die Gemischbildungszone (36) in die Reformierungszone (18) abzweigbar ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass in der Reformierungszone (18) ein mehrteiliger Katalysator angeordnet ist, wobei zumindest zwischen zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Katalysatorteilen (20, 22; 48, 50, 52; 58, 60) der aus der Oxidationszone (16) abzweigbare Teil des Gasgemisches zuführbar ist. Darüber hinaus betrifft die Erfindung ein Brennstoffzellensystem mit solch einem Reformer (10).

The invention relates to a reformer (10) for converting fuel and oxidant to reformate, said reformer comprising: an oxidation zone (16), to which fuel and oxidant can be supplied and in which the fuel can be at least partially oxidised; a mixture forming zone (36), in which additional fuel can be supplied to the gas mixture generated in the oxidation zone (16); and a reformer zone (18) for producing a reformate, the gas generated in the mixture forming zone (36) being supplied to said reformer zone and part of the gas mixture generated in the oxidation zone (16) being diverted to the reformer zone (18) upstream of the inlet of the mixture forming zone (36). According to the invention, a multi-part catalytic converter is located in the reformer zone (18), the part of the gas mixture that can be diverted from the oxidation zone (16) being supplied at least between two successive catalytic converter parts (20, 22; 48, 50, 52; 58, 60). In addition, the invention relates to a fuel cell system comprising a reformer (10) of this type.

L'invention concerne un reformeur (10) servant à transformer du combustible et un agent oxydant en reformat. Le reformeur selon l'invention comprend une zone d'oxydation (16) à laquelle sont amenés le combustible et l'agent oxydant et dans laquelle le combustible peut être au moins partiellement oxydé, une zone de formation de mélange (36) dans laquelle du combustible supplémentaire peut être amené au mélange gazeux produit dans la zone d'oxydation (16), ainsi qu'une zone de reformage (18) servant à générer un reformat et à laquelle peut être amené le mélange gazeux produit dans la zone de formation de mélange (36), une partie du mélange gazeux produit dans la zone d'oxydation (16) pouvant être dirigée vers la zone de reformage (18) en amont de l'entrée dans la zone de formation de mélange (36). Selon l'invention, un catalyseur à plusieurs parties est placé dans la zone de reformage (18), la partie du mélange gazeux prélevée dans la zone d'oxydation (16) pouvant être amenée entre au moins deux parties de catalyseur successives (20, 22; 48, 50, 52; 58, 60). L'invention concerne en outre un système de piles à combustible muni d'un tel reformeur (10).
