Methods, systems, and computer program products for hairpin condition elimination in a telecommunications network are disclosed. A method is disclosed herein for eliminating a hairpin condition at a network node. According to one method, a first and second call leg, each using packet processing resources in a bearer node, are identified; if the first and second call legs are in a hairpin condition, the first and second call legs are connected together in the bearer node in a manner that bypasses and releases packet processing resources.

L'invention concerne des procédés, des systèmes et des produits-programmes informatiques pour l'élimination d'une situation de renvoi d'appel en épingle dans un réseau de télécommunications. Un procédé de l'invention consiste à éliminer une situation de renvoi d'appel en épingle au niveau d'un noeud réseau. Selon un procédé, un premier et un deuxième tronçon d'appel qui utilisent chacun des ressources de traitement de paquets dans un noeud support sont identifiés. Si les premier et deuxième tronçons d'appel sont dans une situation de renvoi d'appel en épingle, l'un et l'autre sont connectés dans le noeud support de façon que les ressources de traitement de paquets soient dérivées et libérées.
