The present invention discloses an encoding apparatus using a Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) scanning, which includes: a mode selection means for selecting an optimal mode for intra prediction; an intra prediction means for performing intra prediction onto video inputted based on the mode selected in the mode selection means; a DCT and quantization means for performing DCT and quantization onto residual coefficients of a block outputted from the intra prediction means; and an entropy encoding means for performing entropy encoding onto DCT coefficients acquired from the DCT and quantization by using a scanning mode decided based on pixel similarity of the residual coefficients.

L'invention concerne un appareil de codage faisant intervenir un balayage à transformée en cosinus discrète (TCD). Cet appareil comprend : un moyen de sélection de mode destiné à sélectionner un mode optimal pour une intra-prédiction; un moyen d'intra-prédiction destiné à effectuer une intra-prédiction sur une vidéo entrée en fonction du mode sélectionné dans le moyen de sélection de mode; un moyen de TCD et de quantification destiné à performer une TCD et une quantification sur les coefficients résiduels d'un bloc produit par le moyen d'un intra-prédiction; et un moyen de codage entropique destiné à effectuer un codage entropique sur les coefficients TCD acquis lors des opérations de TCD et de quantification par utilisation d'un mode de balayage déterminé en fonction d'une analogie de pixels de coefficients résiduels.
