Disclosed is a microbial mutant capable of producing S-adenosylmethionine (hereinafter, referred to as 'SAM') in large quantity without the changing in culture properties. Also disclosed is a method for producing SAM efficiently by culturing the microbial mutant. Specifically, the method comprises the steps of culturing a microorganism having the loss or reduction in the function of phosphatidylcholine synthase and collecting S-adenosylmethionine accumulated in the culture.

La présente invention concerne un mutant microbien capable de produire de la S-adénosylméthionine (ci-après appelée 'SAM') en grande quantité sans en modifier les propriétés en culture. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de SAM de manière efficace en cultivant le mutant microbien. Spécifiquement, le procédé comprend les étapes de culture d'un microorganisme chez qui la fonction phosphatidylcholine synthase est perdue ou réduite et de collecte de la S-adénosylméthionine accumulée dans la culture.

 本発明の目的は、培養特性の変化を伴わずにS-アデノシルメチオニン(S-Adenosylmethionine:以下、SAMという)を大量生産し得る微生物変異体及びその微生物変異体を培養し、SAMを効率的に生産する方法を提供することにある。 ホスファチジルコリン合成系酵素の機能が消失もしくは低下した微生物を培養し、そこに蓄積したS-アデノシルメチオニンを回収することからなるS-アデノシルメチオニンを生産する方法。
