Provided is a method for separating two or more analytes in a fluid, which method comprises: (a) binding each different analyte to a different functional particle in one or more binding zones, to produce two or more bound analytes; (b) allowing the bound analytes to move through a separating conduit to two or more separate functional zones; wherein, each different functional particle has, or can be controlled to have, a different function in the fluid as compared with the other functional particles; and wherein the separating conduit separates into two or more functional conduits, such that the separating conduit serves to separate the bound analytes into the separate functional conduits by means of the different functions of the different functional particles. Also provided is an apparatus for separating two or more analytes in a fluid, which apparatus comprises: (a) a binding zone; (b) two or more functional conduits; (c) a separating conduit connecting the binding zone to the two or more functional conduits; (d) a transporter for transporting the analyte through the separating conduit from the binding zone to the two or more functional conduits; and (e) optionally one or more concentrating zones in connection with at least one of the functional conduits.

L'invention concerne un procédé de séparation de deux substances ou plus à analyser dans un liquide, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : (a) lier chaque substance à analyser différente à une particule fonctionnelle différente dans une ou plusieurs zones de liaison, pour produire deux substances à analyser liées ou plus; (b) permettre aux substances à analyser liées de se déplacer à travers un conduit de séparation en deux zones fonctionnelles séparées ou plus. Chaque particule fonctionnelle différente a une fonction différente dans le liquide par rapport aux autres particules fonctionnelles, ou il est fait en sorte que ce soit le cas. Le conduit de séparation crée une séparation en deux conduits fonctionnels ou plus, de sorte que le conduit de séparation serve à séparer les substances à analyser liées en conduits fonctionnels séparés au moyen des différentes fonctions des différentes particules fonctionnelles. L'invention concerne également un appareil de séparation de deux substances ou plus à analyser dans un liquide, ledit appareil comprenant : (a) une zone de liaison; (b) deux conduits fonctionnels ou plus; (c) un conduit de séparation reliant la zone de liaison aux deux conduits fonctionnels ou plus; (d) un mécanisme de transport pour transporter la substance à analyser à travers le conduit de séparation depuis la zone de liaison jusqu'aux deux conduits fonctionnels ou plus; et (e) éventuellement une ou plusieurs zones de concentration en relation avec au moins l'un des conduits fonctionnels.
