Abstract
(EN) A rheometer, die with a groove configuration for reducing sample slippage in a rheometer chamber is provided. The rheometer die includes a surface and at least one radial groove (50) extending into the surface. The groove (50) defines at least a portion of a sample-holding chamber constructed to hold a sample. The groove (50) may include a first zone (52) and a second zone (56) with a transition zone (62) therebetween. The groove may also include a substantially wedge-shaped portion with sidewalls which taper generally towards the center of the rheometer die such that imaginary extensions of the sidewalls intersect before reaching the center of the die. A plurality of grooves (50) may extend into the rheometer die. The rheometer die may be incorporated into a rheometer for testing process characteristics of a material.
(FR) L'invention concerne une matrice de rhéomètre présentant une configuration rainurée destinée à réduire tout glissement d'un échantillon dans la chambre du rhéomètre. La matrice de rhéomètre comprend une surface et au moins une rainure radiale qui s'étend dans la surface. La rainure définit au moins une partie d'une chambre d'échantillon conçue pour contenir un échantillon. La rainure peut comprendre une première zone et une deuxième zone avec une zone de transition entre celles-ci. La rainure peut également comprendre une partie sensiblement en forme de coin présentant des parois latérales qui s'amincissent globalement vers le centre de la matrice de rhéomètre, de telle sorte que des extensions imaginaires des parois latérales se croisent avant d'atteindre le centre de la matrice.
