Abstract

Being aware of a loss of signalling bearer transport through an IP Connectivity Access Network is an important issue. Therefore, the present invention relies on amending the Policing and Charging Control model with means to provide the IMS infrastructure with subscriptions to and notifications about signalling session events detected on the signalling IP flow transported through the bearer layer. To this end, a P- CSCF, or AF included therein, is amended to allow the establishment of a signalling session for subscription to notification of bearer level events for a signalling IP flow. Apart from that, new processing rules are required at the AF and PCRF for handling the signalling session, the notification of events and the termination of the signalling session.

Le fait d'être au courant d'une perte de signalisation lors de l'acheminement sur support à travers un réseau d'accès de connectivité IP est une question importante. Par conséquent, la présente invention repose sur une modification du modèle de commande de chargement et de régulation avec des moyens pour fournir l'infrastructure IMS avec des souscriptions et des notifications concernant des événements de session de signalisation détectés sur le flux IP de signalisation transporté à travers la couche de support. Dans cet objectif, un P- CSCF ou AF ci-inclus, est modifié pour permettre l'établissement d'une session de signalisation pour une souscription à une notification d'événements de niveau de support pour un flux IP de signalisation. A part cela, de nouvelles règles de traitement sont nécessaires au niveau de l'AF et du PCRF pour manipuler la session de signalisation, la notification d'événements et l'arrêt de la session de signalisation.
