Abstract

One aspect of the invention is to generate mutants in plants, preferably Arabidopsis, by transforming said plants with pools of zinc finger artificial transcription factors (ZF-ATFs) and selecting a mutant from those transformed plant with a desired phenotype. A further aspect of the present invention is a transgenic plant harbouring a specific ZF-ATF, providing the plant with an increase in the frequency of homologous recombination (HR), more specifically wherein said ZF-ATF is likely to bind to the recognition sequence 5'-GTGGAGGCT-3'.

La présente invention concerne selon un de ses aspects la génération de végétaux mutants, de préférence des Arabidopsis, en transformant lesdits végétaux à l'aide de groupes de facteurs de transcription artificiels à doigts de zinc (Zinc Finger Artificial Transcription Factor ; ZF-ATF) et en choisissant parmi les végétaux transformés un mutant qui présente un phénotype cherché. Selon un autre aspect, la présente invention concerne un végétal transgénique qui abrite un ZF-ATF spécifique, ce qui assure au végétal une augmentation de la fréquence des recombinaisons homologues (Homologous Recombination ; HR), plus spécifiquement un végétal dans lequel ledit ZF-ATF est susceptible de se lier à la séquence de reconnaissance 5'-GTGGAGGCT-3'.
