An original pixel data group composed of pixel data on continuous pixels in image data is orthogonally transformed. Coefficients indicating the frequency components are outputted while limiting the number of coefficients to a predetermined number from the lowest frequency side. The difference value between a coefficient and the previously restored one is calculated for each coefficient, and the coefficient difference value is quantized. The quantized value obtained by the quantization is dequantized. A predetermined number of coefficients are restored by calculation using the coefficient difference value obtained by the dequantization and the previously restored one to perform orthogonal inverse transformation, thus restoring the original pixel data group. For each pixel, the pixel difference value between the original pixel data group and the restored original pixel data group is calculated. The quantized value of the coefficient difference value and the pixel difference value are encoded, and the compressed data is outputted.

La présente invention concerne un groupe de données pixel d'origine qui se compose de données sur des pixels continus dans des données d'image et qui est transformé de manière orthogonale. Les coefficients indiquant les composants de fréquence sont sortis, tout en limitant le nombre de coefficients à un nombre prédéterminé vers la fréquence la plus faible. La valeur de la différence entre un coefficient et celui précédemment rétabli est calculée pour chaque coefficient et cette différence entre coefficients est quantifiée. La valeur quantifiée obtenue par la quantification est déquantifiée. Un nombre prédéterminé de coefficients est restauré par un calcul utilisant la valeur de différence de coefficient obtenue par la déquantification et celle précédemment rétablie pour effectuer une transformation orthogonale inverse et restaurer ainsi le groupe de données pixels d'origine. Pour chaque pixel, on calcule la valeur de différence de pixel entre le groupe de données de pixel d'origine et le groupe d'origine rétabli. La valeur quantifiée de la valeur de différence de coefficient et celle de pixels sont encodées et les données compressées sont produites.

 本発明では、画像データ中の連続する複数の画素分の画素データからなる元画素データ群の直交変換を行い、最低周波数側から所定数に制限して、周波数成分を示す係数を出力し、その係数毎に、その係数と前に復元された係数との係数差分値を算出し、その係数差分値を量子化する。その量子化によって得られる量子化値の逆量子化を行い、その逆量子化によって得られた係数差分値と、前に復元された係数とを用いた計算により、所定数の係数を復元して直交逆変換を行い、元画素データ群を復元する。元画素データ群と、復元した元画素データ群との画素差分値を画素毎に算出し、係数差分値の量子化値、及び画素差分値を符号化して圧縮データを出力する。
