Abstract

A surface modified electrode plate for electrorheological fluid is a metal plate with a rough, abrasionproof and low-conductivity modified layer. Material of the modified layer is selected from at least one of the group consisting of diamond, alumina, titanium oxide, carborundum, titanium nitride, nylon, fluon, adhesives and film adhesives. The modified layer provides an increase in the cohesive force between electrorheological fluid and the plate, and the electrorheological fluid shear stress on the plate is close to its real shear stress. It makes electrorheological fluid can be used effectively and practically. It can also decrease leakage current and increase breakdown voltage of ER fluid devices.

L'invention concerne une plaque d'électrode à surface modifiée pour fluide électrorhéologique, qui est une plaque en métal munie d'une couche modifiée, rugueuse, anti-abrasive et de faible conductivité. Le matériau de la couche modifiée est sélectionné parmi au moins un des éléments du groupe comprenant diamant, alumine, oxyde de titane, carborundum, nitrure de titane, nylon, fluon, des adhésifs et des adhésifs en feuille mince. La couche modifiée permet de renforcer la force de cohésion entre le fluide électrorhéologique et la plaque. La contrainte de cisaillement du fluide électrorhéologique sur la plaque est proche de sa contrainte de cisaillement réelle, ce qui permet d'utiliser le fluide électrorhéologique de manière efficace et pratique et également de diminuer le courant de fuite et augmenter la tension de rupture de dispositifs à fluide ER.
