A system and a method for optimizing start-up of an amine regeneration system comprising a ' rich/lean heat exchanger, a still, a reflux accumulator, a pump and a reboiler. In order to enhance start-up efficiency, a reflux accumulator fill line assembly is provided, by which rich amine may be supplied to the reflux accumulator.
