There is provided a process for making a multicolor organic light-emitting diode. The diode has a plurality of first subpixel areas (141) and a plurality of second subpixel areas (142). In the process, a patterned anode (110) is formed on a substrate and a non-patterned continuous hole injection layer (120) is formed over the anode. There is substantially no crosstalk observable between the first subpixels and the second subpixels. There is also provided the above process with the additional steps of forming a non-patterned continuous primer layer (130) over the hole injection layer, depositing a first electroluminescent material (141) from a first liquid composition in the first subpixel areas, depositing a second electroluminescent material (142) from a second liquid composition in the second subpixel areas, and depositing a cathode (160). The first and second electroluminescent materials emit light of different colors.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour fabriquer une diode électroluminescente organique multicolore. La diode comporte une pluralité de premières régions de sous-pixels et une pluralité de secondes régions de sous-pixels. Dans le procédé, une anode formant un motif est formée sur un substrat et une couche d'injection de trous continue sans motif est formée sur l'anode. Il n'y a sensiblement aucune diaphonie observable entre les premiers sous-pixels et les seconds sous-pixels. Ledit procédé comporte également les étapes supplémentaires consistant à former une couche primaire continue sans motif sur la couche d'injection de trous, à déposer un premier matériau électroluminescent d'une première composition liquide dans les premières régions de sous-pixels, à déposer un second matériau électroluminescent d'une seconde composition liquide dans les secondes régions de sous-pixels et à déposer une cathode. Les premier et second matériaux électroluminescents émettent de la lumière de différentes couleurs.
