An electrolyte film which retains durability even after having undergone a dimensional change accompanying chemical deterioration caused by radicals having high oxidizing ability, such as hydroxyl radicals ( OH) or peroxide radicals ( OOH); and a method of selecting the electrolyte film. The electrolyte film is characterized in that when it is examined through the Fenton test under the following conditions, then the dry-state dimensional change in a plane direction through the Fenton test is smaller than the maximum dry-state elastic deformation amount in the plane direction as measured before the Fenton test. (1) iron ion (Fe2+) concentration: 4 ppm, (2) hydrogen peroxide concentration: 3 wt.%, (3) boiling temperature: 80°C, (4) boiling time: 120 min

L'invention concerne un film d'électrolyte qui garde sa durabilité même après avoir subi un changement dimensionnel qui accompagne une détérioration chimique provoquée par des radicaux présentant une capacité d'oxydation élevée, tels que des radicaux hydroxyles (OH) ou des radicaux peroxydes (OOH); l'invention concerne également un procédé de sélection de film d'électrolyte. Le film d'électrolyte est caractérisé en ce que, lorsqu'il est examiné par le test de Fenton dans les conditions ci-dessous, le changement dimensionnel à l'état sec dans une direction en plan par le test de Fenton est plus petit qu'une quantité de déformation élastique maximale à l'état sec dans la direction en plan, telle que mesurée avant le test de Fenton. (1) Concentration en ions fer (Fe2+) : 4 ppm, (2) concentration en peroxyde d'hydrogène : 3 % en poids, (3) température d'ébullition : 80°C, (4) temps d'ébullition : 120 min.
