This invention provides a liquid crystal pouring port, which is provided on at least one side of a pair of substrates, for pouring a liquid crystal into a space surrounded by the pair of substrates and a sealing member, and a pouring port sealing member for sealing the pouring port. The pouring port is disposed so that, as viewed from a direction normal to the surface of the substrate, the pouring port overlaps with the sealing region, with the sealing member and pouring port sealing material provided therein, on a side inner than the boundary for partitioning the sealing region.

Cette invention prévoit un orifice verseur de cristal liquide, qui est muni au moins sur un côté d'une paire de substrats, afin de verser un cristal liquide dans un espace entouré par la paire de substrats et un élément de scellement, ainsi qu'un élément de scellement d'orifice verseur afin de sceller l'orifice verseur. L'orifice verseur est disposé de manière à ce que, comme ce qui peut être observé à partir d'une direction normale par rapport à la surface du substrat, l'orifice verseur recouvre la région de scellement, avec l'élément de scellement et l'orifice verseur prévus dans celle-ci, sur un côté interne par rapport à la limite servant à séparer la région de scellement.
