L'invention concerne un spectromètre basé sur un temps de déclin de cavité multicolore étant logé dans une enceinte opaque pour détecter la présence de quantités de traces de molécules en phase gazeuse émanant d'explosifs, de drogues ou de matières dangereuses transportés dans l'enceinte ou de composés contenus dans la respiration d'un patient.
