Abstract

A dry/deluge valve for an automatic sprinkler system. The valve includes a main chamber having an input port for receiving fluid from a supply line and an output port. A clapper assembly is installed in the main chamber for sealing the input port. The clapper assembly includes a threaded valve seat configured to be screwed into a wall of the main chamber, so as to be in communication with the input port. The assembly further includes a collar configured to receive the valve seat, wherein the collar is held in position by the valve seat. A clapper configured to seal the input port, in cooperation with the valve seat, is hinged to the collar, and a lever also is hinged to the collar and is movable between a first position in which the clapper is held closed by the lever and a second position in which the clapper is allowed to open. The dry pipe/deluge valve further includes a sensing chamber having components responsive to a control pressure of the sensing chamber, the components being in communication with the lever to move the lever between the first position and the second position.

L'invention concerne une vanne à air comprimé / une vanne déluge pour système d'arroseur automatique. La vanne comprend une chambre principale comprenant un orifice d'entrée destiné à recevoir du fluide provenant d'une conduite d'alimentation et un orifice de sortie. Un ensemble clapet est installé dans la chambre principale afin de boucher l'orifice d'entrée. L'ensemble clapet comprend un siège de soupape fileté configuré pour être vissé dans une paroi de la chambre principale, de façon à être en communication avec l'orifice d'entrée. L'ensemble comprend en outre une collerette configurée pour recevoir le siège de soupape, la collerette étant maintenue en position par le siège de soupape. Un clapet configuré pour boucher l'orifice d'entrée, en coopération avec le siège de soupape, est articulé à la collerette, et un levier est également articulé à la collerette et mobile entre une première position dans laquelle le clapet est maintenu fermé par le levier et une deuxième position dans laquelle on permet au clapet de s'ouvrir. La vanne à air comprimé / la vanne déluge comprend en outre une chambre de détection munie de composants réagissant à une pression de commande de la chambre de détection, lesdits composants étant en communication avec le levier afin de déplacer le levier entre la première position et la deuxième position.
