To provide a method for fixing an image, wherein the image has a high fastness even immediately after being recorded, and is free from inconveniences such as thermal influence or unfavorable curing inherent to the conventional fixing device, as well as safety problems. To achieve such an object, in a method for fixing an image (3) recorded on a recording medium (10) with a recording material containing a component curable by a plasma processing, the image is fixed on the recording medium by the plasma processing (3) at a normal pressure.

La présente invention a pour but de mettre à disposition un procédé de fixation d'une image, dans lequel l'image possède une solidité élevée même juste après avoir été enregistrée et ne présente pas d'inconvénients tels qu'une influence thermique ou un durcissement défavorable inhérent au dispositif de fixation traditionnel, tout comme des problèmes de sécurité. Pour atteindre un tel objectif, dans un procédé de fixation d'une image (3) enregistrée sur un support d'enregistrement (10) avec un matériau d'enregistrement contenant un composant durcissable par un traitement au plasma, l'image est fixée sur le support d'enregistrement par le traitement au plasma (3) à une pression normale.
