A target pressure at an FC inlet is set to an initial value (step 1) and the target pressure at the FC inlet is maintained at this initially set value until the concentration of impurities contained in a gas supplied to the anode of a fuel cell becomes a predetermined value or below (step 3: No). This initial value is set higher than the target pressure at the FC inlet which is set in accordance with an FC current during normal generation. When the concentration of impurities in the gas supplied to the anode of the fuel cell (10) has become the predetermined value or below (step S3: Yes), the target pressure at the FC inlet is obtained by using a map expressing the relationship between the FC current detected at step S5 and the target pressure at the FC inlet which is set in accordance with a request output to the fuel cell (10) (step S7).

Selon l'invention, la pression cible au niveau d'une entrée FC est réglée sur une valeur initiale (phase 1) et la pression cible au niveau de l'entrée FC est maintenue à cette valeur initialement réglée jusqu'à ce que la concentration d'impuretés contenues dans un gaz injecté dans l'anode d'une pile à combustible devienne inférieure ou égale à une valeur prédéterminée (phase 3 : Non). Cette valeur initiale est réglée sur une valeur supérieure à la pression cible au niveau de l'entrée FC qui est définie selon un courant FC pendant la génération normale. Si la concentration d'impuretés dans le gaz injecté dans l'anode de la pile à combustible (10) est devenue inférieure ou égale à la valeur prédéterminée (phase S3 : Oui), la pression cible au niveau de l'entrée FC s'obtient en utilisant une carte exprimant la relation entre le courant FC détecté à la phase S5 et la pression cible au niveau de l'entrée FC qui est définie selon une demande adressée à la pile à combustible (10) (phase S7).

 本発明においては、FC入口目標圧力の初期設定(ステップS1)後、燃料電池のアノードに供給されるガス中の不純物濃度が所定値以下になるまで、FC入口目標圧力を、この初期設定値に維持する(ステップS3:NO)。この初期設定値は、通常発電時にFC電流に応じて設定されるFC入口目標圧力よりも高圧に設定する。燃料電池10のアノードに供給されるガス中の不純物濃度が所定値以下になったならば(ステップS3:YES)、ステップS5で検出したFC電流と、燃料電池10への要求出力に対応して設定されるFC入口目標圧力との関係を表わすマップを用いて、FC入口目標圧力を求める(ステップS7)。
