Abstract:
(EN) The object of the present invention is a method of clean, simple, reproducible, rapid and reliable preparation of thin sheets of colloidal crystal from suspensions of colloidal spherical particles of micrometric size dispersed in diverse mixtures of volatile liquids. The method developed permits obtaining in minutes and without requiring subsequent processing thin sheets of highly-diffracting colloidal crystal having uniform optical properties over areas of the order of several square centimetres on substrates of very diverse type. The method developed permits controlling with great precision the thickness of the sheets. It is also possible to select the crystalline orientation of the colloidal network from two possibilities, one whereof constituting a new material of which there is no precedent.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de couches minces de cristal colloïde propre, simple, reproductible, rapide et fiable à partir de suspensions de particules sphériques colloïdales de taille micrométrique dispersées dans différents mélanges de liquides volatils. Le procédé de l'invention permet d'obtenir en quelques minutes et sans traitement additionnel des couches minces de cristal colloïdal à haut pouvoir de diffraction et qui présentent des propriétés optiques uniformes dans des surfaces de l'ordre de plusieurs centimètres carrés sur divers types de substrats. Le procédé de l'invention permet de commander avec une grande précision l'épaisseur des couches. Le procédé de l'invention permet en outre de sélectionner l'orientation du réseau colloïdal parmi deux orientation possibles, l'une des orientations permettant d'obtenir un nouveau matériau jusqu'à présent inexistant.
(ES) El objeto de esta invención es un método de preparación de láminas delgadas de cristal coloidal limpio, simple, reproducible, rápido y fiable a partir de suspensiones de partículas esféricas coloidales de tamaño micrométrico dispersas en distintas mezclas de líquidos volátiles. El método desarrollado permite obtener en minutos y sin necesidad de un procesado posterior laminas delgadas de cristal coloidal altamente difractantes y con unas propiedades ópticas uniformes en áreas del orden de varios centímetros cuadrados sobre sustratos de muy diverso tipo. El método desarrollado permite controlar con gran precisión el grosor de las láminas. Es además posible elegir la orientación cristalina de la red coloidal entre dos posibles, constituyendo una de ellas un nuevo material del que no existe precedente.
