Die Erfindung betrifft eine Luftschall absorbierende Motorraumverkleidung für Kraftfahrzeuge, insbesondere in Form einer Motorhaubenverkleidung (1) , mit einer offenporigen, luftdurchlässigen Schaumstoffschicht (5) aus Kunststoff . Damit eine solche Motorraumverkleidung relativ leichtgewichtig, selbstragend und schwerentflammbar ist sowie eine gute akustische Wirksamkeit aufweist, wird erfindungsgemäß ein Materialaufbau vorgeschlagen, der im wesentlichen dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Schaumstoffschicht (5) auf ihrer Rückseite mit einer Faserschicht (4) aus mineralischen Fasern versehen ist, wobei die Schaumstoffschicht (5) eine Dicke von weniger als 6 mm und einen spezifischen Strömungswiderstand im Bereich von 100 bis 1200 Ns/m3 aufweist, während die Faserschicht (4) eine Dicke von mehr als 6 mm und ein Flächengewicht von weniger als 800 g/m2 aufweist.

The invention relates to an airborne-sound-absorbing engine compartment covering for motor vehicles, in particular in the form of a bonnet covering (1), with an open-pore, air-permeable foam layer (5) of plastic. So that an engine compartment covering of this type is relatively lightweight, self-supporting and hardly inflammable and has good acoustic efficiency, a material construction is proposed according to the invention which is essentially characterized in that the rear side of the foam layer (5) is provided with a fibre layer (4) of mineral fibres, wherein the foam layer (5) has a thickness of less than 6 mm and a specific flow resistance in the range from 100 to 1200 Ns/m3, while the fibre layer (4) has a thickness of more than 6 mm and a surface weight of less than 800 g/m2.

L'invention concerne un habillage de compartiment moteur absorbant les bruits aériens pour véhicules automobiles, notamment sous la forme d'un habillage (1) de capot moteur, comprenant une couche (5) de mousse à pores ouverts laissant passer l'air et faite de matière plastique. Pour qu'un tel habillage de compartiment moteur soit relativement léger, autoporteur et difficilement inflammable tout en présentant une bonne efficacité acoustique, l'invention propose une structure de matériau qui se caractérise essentiellement en ce que la couche (5) de mousse est munie sur sa face arrière d'une couche (4) en fibres minérales, la couche (5) de mousse présentant une épaisseur inférieure à 6 mm et une résistance spécifique à l'écoulement comprise entre 100 et 1200 Ns/m3, alors que la couche (4) de fibres présente une épaisseur de plus de 6 mm et une masse surfacique inférieure à 800 g/m2.
