Disclosed is a tape base exhibiting excellent oil resistance, while having flexibility, cuttability by hand and heat resistance in a balanced manner. Also disclosed is an adhesive tape using the tape base. Specifically disclosed is a tape base containing an ethylene-aromatic vinyl compound copolymer having an isotactic tacticity. In the copolymer structure of the ethylene-aromatic vinyl compound copolymer, the isotactic diad fraction m of Ph (aromatic group) in the alternating structure of ethylene and the aromatic vinyl compound represented by the formula (1) below is preferably more than 0.75. (1) (In the formula, Ph represents an aromaticgroup, and xa represents the number of repeating units, which is an integer of not less than 2.)

L'invention concerne une base de ruban dotés d'une excellente résistance à l'huile tout en présentant un bon équilibre entre flexibilité, aptitude au découpage à la main et résistance à la chaleur. L'invention concerne également un ruban adhésif utilisant la base de ruban. Est spécifiquement concernée une base de ruban contenant un copolymère éthylène-composé vinyl aromatique ayant une tacticité isotactique. Dans la structure de copolymère du copolymère éthylène-composé vinyl aromatique, la fraction diad isotactique m de Ph (groupe aromatique) dans la structure alternée de l'éthylène et du composé vinyl aromatique représentée par la formule (1) ci-après est, de préférence, de plus de 0,75. (1) (Dans la formule, Ph représente un groupe aromatique, et xa représente le nombre de motifs répétitifs, qui est un entier supérieur à 2.)
