DESCRIPTION

The Rapid Eradication of Essential Hypertension and Hypotension
Using Only an Inclined Bed and Gravity.

Background
[001]
© Since it is said that the incidence of essential hypertension and essential hypotension is 20% or more of the world population, it is presumed that this totals more than 1.2 billion people.
(D However, the causes of essential hypertension and essential hypotension remain unknown, therefore radical treatment of the related serious
complications (cerebral, cardiac and kidney diseases) also remain
undetermined.

The three main points of this invention are as follows
[002]
© This invention succeeded to solve the causes of essential hypertension and essential hypotension generated in the gravitational field of the earth.
® As a result, it was possible to discover and implement the eradication of hypertension and hypotension without any change in the individual's blood-pressure constitution.
Φ This invention involved the development of a special inclining bed to be used to rapidly eradicate hypertension and hypotension.

Proof of the main points of this invention 1, 2, 3 above
Described in [003] - [010] below
[003]
This invention is based on the following facts and laws of nature.
φ Laws of gravitation
(1) If a subject sleeps on an inclined bed (Fig.l) with the head set in the higher position, the blood pressure in the upper half of the body will fall immediately due to the action of gravity.
(2) If a subject sleeps on an inchned bed (Mg. l) with the head set in the lower position, the blood pressure in the upper half of the body will rise immediately due to the action of gravity.

φ It is a fact that natural living things in the wild do not show signs of suffering such diseases of civilization as hypertension, hypotension and other related diseases.
(D [Facts I - IH] as described in [006] below.

Various sleep postures
[004]
φ [Head high sleep posture] Horses, giraffes and birds sleep with the head at a position higher than the center of gravity of the body On many cases they sleep in the standing position).
φ [Horizontal sleep posture] Dogs and cats, and fish sleep in an approximately horizontal position with the head at the same level as the center of gravity of the body.
Φ [Head low sleep posture] Sloth and bats sleep with the head at a position lower than the center of gravity of the body (in many cases they sleep hanging upside down). However, in some exceptions sloth have been observed sleeping in a "U" shaped posture.
φ Thus, each living thing has a peculiar hereditary sleep posture which is its most congenial posture.

A study of the causes of essential hypertension and
essential hypotension
[005]
φ If the hind legs of a dog are bound and the dog is suspended upside down, symptoms of hypertension such as bloodshot eyes are certain to develop almost immediately.
φ Conversely, if a dog is suspended fcom its forelimbs, the dog will show symptoms of hypotension.
(D However, as soon as the dog regains its hereditary posture, the symptoms of hypertension or hypotension are alleviated automatically and immediately.
[006]
The following facts are substantiated by the above [003] - [005]
φ [Fact I ] When you sleep in a posture contrary to your hereditary sleep posture, symptoms of hypertension or hypotension develop.
φ [Fact E ] Hypertension or hypotension will be alleviated automatically, if one's hereditary sleep posture is restored.
φ [FactUI] If you sleep in your hereditary sleep posture, symptoms of hypertension or hypotension will not develop.

* A comparison of blood pressure during sleep and during daily activity is described in [009]
[007]
Of our ancestor's sleep posture, the following three kinds are believed to have existed. [Head high sleep posture] [Horizontal sleep posture] and [Head low sleep posture].
CD Examples of [Head high sleep posture]
(1) Although Mr. Shoichi Yokoi who was left behind on the South Pacific archipelago of Guam Island, was discovered and returned to Japan after 28 years, he did not sleep in the luxurious bed he was provided, but slept in a stooped posture squatting on the floor of the bedroom (newspaper article).
(2) Mr. Hiroo Onoda miraculously returned alive from Lubang Island in the Philippines after 30 years. He wrote the following description of his survival in woods in a book after his homecoming. "I chose a slope of about 10 degrees, and lay along side Kozuka (a fellow soldier). The reason for choosing the slope was that it provided an excellent view in all directions in case of emergencies or danger. I have not slept soundly in 30 years." (Excerpt from "My 30-Years War on Lubang Island," Kodansha)
(D An example of a [Horizontal sleep posture]
Almost all modern day humans sleep horizontally.
φ An example of a [head low sleep posture]
In times past in Japan people were seen carrying heavy loads over long distances, these people were often seen resting on embankments along the road. They would sleep with their feet toward the top of the embankment and their heads toward the bottom.

Clinical examples of rapid recovery from hypertension and
hypotension
[008]
φ If a person who suffers hypertension, sleeps with the head in the high direction of the bed inclined at about 7 degrees (Fig. 1), and places both legs in the low direction the cranial liquid pressure will decrease by about 18mmHg, and the state of hypertension can be relieved within one to three days.

(D If a person who suffers hypotension sleeps with the head in the low direction of the bed inclined at about 7 degrees (Fig. l), and places both legs in the high direction the cranial liquid pressure will increase by about 18mmHg, and the state of hypotension can be relieved within one to three days. (To a hypotensive person, a pillow is unnecessary) φ If a person who suffers from brain anemia, sleeps with the head in the low direction of the bed (Fig. l) inclined at about 15 degrees or greater, and places both legs in the higher position, the brain anemia was can be relieved within twenty to thirty minutes. (If the person suffers from brain anemia a pillow is not necessary)

The difference in vitality and power of survival during
activity and sleep
[009]
φ During activity, the body responds easily to changes in blood pressure due to the action of the autonomic nervous system. Thus, in activity the body has high vitality and a strong power of survival.
© However, during sleep the central nervous system is in a high state of rest, and the response to changes in blood pressure is more difficult. Therefore, during sleep the body has low vitality and is very vulnerable, [Example Incident ] After a snowstorm near the summit of a mountain (2026m) in Japan on March 19, 2006, two women who got separated from their friends and froze to death were discovered by the police. The body of Ms. A was retrieved from the snow on March 20. Ms, B was found in a sleeping-bag in their tent on the 21st. (2006/03/22 Asahi Newspaper). Although Ms. B returned to the tent and to her sleeping-bag, she is presumed to have frozen to death during sleep.
The word "HM" "suima" (which means sleepiness or drowsiness) can be found in a dictionary of Chinese characters, ϋ "sui" is the character for "sleep," and "01" "ma" is the character for "ogre," together they literally translates to "the devil of sleep".

Conclusion
[010]
φ The sleep posture of ancestors of people who present symptoms of hypertension was a [head high sleep posture]
(l) However, since these present day people are sleeping horizontally contrary to their ancestor's sleep posture, they are afflicted with
hypertension.

(2) The method of relieving pain due to high blood pressure is to sleep in one's ancestral sleep posture [head high sleep posture].
© The sleep posture of ancestors of people who present symptoms of hypotension was a [head low sleep posture].
(1) However, since these present day people are sleeping horizontally contrary to their ancestor's sleep posture, they are afflicted with hypotension.
(2) The method of relieving pain due to low blood pressure is by sleeping in one's ancestral sleep posture [head low sleep posture],
❖The above concludes the proof of main points 1,2,3, of this invention

Fig. 1 illustrates the principle of this invention.

Industrial applicability
[012]
φ In order to eradicate hypertension and hypotension, a special bed which inchnes to about 7 degrees is required. Further, special bedding is required to prevent sliding in the direction of the slope. A special bed may be of an orthodox type or a low type. Although the height of an orthodox type bed is at a normal height, the height of a low bed is at a height close to the floor.
Φ The objective is attained by a special bed which inclines at about 7 degrees. However, a product which can be adjusted to any angle of incline is also required.
The length of the special bed is about 2m and the difference in vertical height of the bed at an inclination of 7 degrees is about 25cm.
φ (l) The method of instantly preparing an orthodox bed as a special bed can be achieved by placing suitable goods under the legs of the bed present in use, to make the proposed inchne of approximately 7 degrees.
(2) The method of instantly preparing a low type special bed can be achieved by placing suitable goods under a strong, light board about Im wide and about 2m long to make the proposed inchne of about 7 degrees. To make a low type special bed which can be stored in a closet, cut the board into three equal parts, and construct the proposed bed so that it can be assembled and dismantled easily.
